Install
Get the right file for your computer on the Download page.
- macOS: Open the ZIP file, drag the app into Applications and start it. The first time, right-click it → “Open” to confirm. If that doesn’t work: System Settings → Privacy & Security → “Open Anyway”. Why?
- Windows: Run the installer. If SmartScreen shows a warning: “More info” → “Run anyway”. You don’t need administrator rights. Why?
Requirements: macOS 14 or later, or Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). 16 GB of RAM recommended, about 4 GB of free disk space.
Why does macOS or Windows warn on first start?
Levytek Agentic OS isn’t notarized by Apple yet, and the Windows installer isn’t signed with a code signing certificate yet. That’s why macOS asks for confirmation the first time and Windows SmartScreen shows a notice. The warning means the system can’t confirm the publisher through Apple or Microsoft. It doesn’t mean anything was found in the app.
- macOS: right-click the app → “Open”, or System Settings → Privacy & Security → “Open Anyway”.
- Windows: in the SmartScreen notice, “More info” → “Run anyway”.
Only download the app from levytek.ai/download. It shows the checksum (SHA-256) for every file, so you can compare your download. The app checks updates itself: it only installs an update if Levytek’s Ed25519 signature and the checksum match. A modified update is discarded.
Getting started
- Sign in with your Levytek account (the same credentials as on levytek.ai).
- On first launch, the local services set themselves up. This takes about 20 to 40 seconds.
- Open or create a project folder. That’s where terminals and agents do their work.
- Connect your accounts: for Claude Code, click “Set up”, then “Sign in” (with your Claude subscription). Codex is included, so just click “Sign in” (with your ChatGPT subscription).
Open the command palette with ⌘K (macOS) or Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows).
Let agents work
Under Settings → “Automatic processing”, Claude Code or Codex pick up new tasks from the Project Hub in a visible terminal. By default they run commands without asking. Switch to “Off (ask first)” to approve every command in the terminal yourself.
Which AI model works on my task?
The app decides that for every task. It picks the best-fitting model from the Claude and Codex models, with the right reasoning depth, plus the right persona (for example designer, developer or researcher) and the right skills.
It bases the choice on scores per kind of task: coding, design & frontend, research, data analysis, writing & docs, and analysis & concepts. When a new model comes out, the app adds it to its list automatically. If a provider’s quota runs out, it switches to the next best choice.
Updates
The app checks for new versions regularly, downloads them in the background and verifies checksum and signature. The update installs as soon as no terminal or agent is running; the app restarts briefly. Click the notice in the status bar to install right away.
Switch computers
A subscription covers one computer at a time. Sign in to the app on your new computer and the license moves over automatically. Your account shows which computer is active, and you can release it there.
On Basic, the new computer takes over once the old computer’s last license check has expired, within 72 hours at most, so two computers never run at the same time. The app shows you when. Basic needs app version 0.3.45 or later.
Subscription and invoices
Under My account → “Manage subscription”, you can change your payment method, download invoices or cancel. You can keep using the app until your subscription ends.
You pay monthly or yearly. Paying yearly saves money, depending on the plan; the pricing page shows the current prices.
- Monthly: cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current month.
- Yearly: cancel at any time, effective at the end of the first year. After that, the subscription continues with no fixed end and ends one month after you cancel; we refund any time you already paid for beyond that, pro rata.
You can switch your plan and how you pay in your account or on the pricing page. The change takes effect immediately. If you only switch plans, the price difference is settled pro rata on your next invoice. If you switch between monthly and yearly, unused time is credited pro rata and the new period is billed right away.
Data and backups
On macOS, your data lives in “~/Library/Application Support/LevytekAgenticOS/”, on Windows in “%LOCALAPPDATA%\LevytekAgenticOS\”. Data → “Create backup” saves everything encrypted with a password of your choice. Uninstalling the app keeps your data.
